How does Spendvex read my receipts?: Scan a receipt and Spendvex reads the shop, date, total and VAT on your phone, then shows them for you to check before saving. Nothing is uploaded.
It read the wrong total.: Tap the amount and fix it before saving. Flat, well-lit receipts read best; for long slips, scan them as two pages with the + Page button.
How do I send my expenses to my accountant?: Open Reports, pick the month or tax year, and export a spreadsheet (CSV) or a zip with the spreadsheet and every receipt photo, named by date, shop and amount.
When does my tax year start?: Spendvex picks it from your phone's region (March in South Africa, April in the UK, January elsewhere). Change it in Settings → Tax year starts.
How do I move to a new phone?: Settings → Back up everything makes one zip with all your expenses and photos. Save it to Files or Google Drive, then use Restore from a backup on the new phone.
Is it free?: Yes. No ads and no account, and every feature in this version is free.
