Who we are
Docuvex is a document scanner and PDF toolkit made by Crimvex (crimvex.com). In this policy, "we" means Crimvex and "you" means the person using the app.

What we collect
Nothing. Docuvex has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. We do not sell, rent or share any data, because we never receive any.
The app does not connect to the internet. It does not contain servers, cloud sync or third-party SDKs that send data anywhere. The only link in the app opens this policy in your web browser.
Camera
Docuvex asks for camera access only to scan documents. The images are processed on your phone and saved in the app. They are never uploaded.
Where your documents are stored
Your scans, PDFs, saved signatures, recognised text (OCR) and the document index are stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. Other apps cannot read them.
Deleting Docuvex deletes all of this data. Use "Export all" in the app first if you want to keep your documents.
On-device processing
Scanning and text recognition run entirely on your device. On iPhone and iPad, Docuvex uses Apple's VisionKit and on-device text recognition. On Android, Docuvex uses Google ML Kit, which runs on your device; the Android document scanner is provided by Google Play services on your phone. Docuvex does not send your images to Apple, Google or us.
Backups
If you have turned on device backups (iCloud Backup on iPhone, Google backup on Android), your phone may include Docuvex's app data in those backups, according to your own device settings. Those backups are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by us.
Children
Docuvex is not directed at children under 13. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights (POPIA and GDPR)
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have rights to access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your personal information.
Because Docuvex collects nothing, we hold no personal information about you, so there is nothing on our side to access, export or delete. All your data is on your device and under your control: you can delete any document in the app, or delete the app to remove everything.

Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it at https://policy.crimvex.com/docuvex/privacy/ and change the "Last updated" date. If a future version of Docuvex ever needed to collect any data, we would say so clearly in the app before it happened.
